Rocki worked at a Wendy's fast food restaurant before moving to Canada in 1996 and starting work as an exotic dancer. Soon after she began her career in hardcore porn and quickly became very popular until she retired at the end of the decade. Rather than shooting hundreds of films she kept the quantity low (less than 40 non-compilation films) and the quality high.

She was most active in the porn industry from 1996 to 1999 and was the Penthouse Pet of the Month for September 1997. As well as starring in films and appearing in magazines, she was one of the first porn stars to produce DVDs and interactive CD-ROMs. Her 1996 DVD Virtual Sex With Rocki Roads was among the earliest uses of interactive media in pornography. In 2000, Rocki retired from the industry but returned in the mid 2000s to appear in a number of film productions for Digital Playground.
